Mary Katherine & Phillip engaged Lexington Ky wedding photographer
Meet Mary Katherine and Phillip, an awesome couple getting married this coming summer. Sam and I met up with them at the Henry Clay Estate in Lexington. It's always fun to photograph in a new place. It was new to me being I had not yet been to Lexington. The park had a lot of character and plenty of fun places to photograph. Mary Katherine tried to tell me that she and Phillip were not very photogenic, definitely not the case. By the end of the session they were naturals and I hardly had to give them any direction. Here's a few of my favorites.
As you can see, they were very photogenic. I am very excited to photograph their wedding in Owensboro this summer. To see more images click here for my facebook album.

Tween-ager Owensboro, KY Childrens' Photographer
My baby girl turned 11 a few weeks ago and I finally got a chance to do her photo session today. So what do you do with a tween-ager? Give them a feather pillow, and see how big of a mess they can make! Shelby had lots of fun with this session. Here's some of my favorites.
If you happen to ever try this, just realize it only took 1 pillow to make this mess, and a couple of rakes to clean it up.

Family Session Owensboro, KY family photographer
Meet the Mayfields....I photographed this fun-loving family a couple of weeks ago at Yellow Creek Park. We had a good time, and they had to take direction from me for a change. I say that because Heather is my personal trainer and Bill is a Martial Arts instructor. It was nice for a change that I was giving orders. I didn't have to hear "5 more pushups" I got to say, "lay down in the grass and smile"! If you are looking for a personal trainer or Martial Arts training, Heather and Bill are the ones to go to. They are great to work with, to check out their school and website click here, Hidden Samurai Martial Arts.
Here's a few of my favorites from this session.
I love the expression on Austin's face in this one.

Tom and Jill married Bozeman, MT wedding photographer
I love traveling to new places for weddings. In August I had the privilege of going to Bozeman, MT to photograph Tom and Jill's wedding. The beautiful scenery and the gorgeous bride and groom made for some fantastic images.
We had some interesting weather the day of the wedding, it went from sunny and 67 degrees to a down pour of rain and hail which dropped the temps to somewhere in the 40's I'd say. Then it got warm and sunny just in time for the ceremony again. We worked around the weather and still got all images we needed to. Many thanks to my long time BFF Joleen Giefer for coming out to Bozeman with me and being my second photographer and assistant. We go way back...all the way back to photography school together. We had a great time working together. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite images from the day.

Back to work!
I'm back after my month long working vacation. I think I did more vacation than work, so now I have to make up for it. I enjoyed seeing all my family and friends in Minnesota. I'll have lots of images to upload on FB and to blog about.
I photographed this gorgeous couple before I left. They have a really cool story. They met on a missions trip in Africa. They then started emailing and calling each other which turned into a friendship which eventually led them to where they are today.....engaged. Being they live in two different states they don't get to spend as much time together in person as they like, but soon enough they will have a lifetime together. Next summer will be here before you know it. God has great things in store for these two. Congrats again Caleb and Stefanie! Here's a few of my favorite images from their session.
