The fruits of our labor
Ok, really it's the fruits of his labor. "His" meaning my husband, Sam. We put in our very first garden this year, and it's doing really well. I really can't take much credit for it. Sam's the one who tilled the ground, planted it, weeded and picked the vegetables for the most part. The kids and I just sort of took direction and did what he asked us to do. I planted some and weeded some, but only under Sam's direct supervision. I'm a plant killer.....yep that's right I have committed plant murder. I have killed a cactus that's how horrible I am with plants. I did not get the green thumb genes that my mom and grandma have. I remember growing up and my Grandma having a big garden and I loved eating all the fresh veggies. Sam always helped his dad with their garden every year, so it was time for him to have his own. We've had a few things not work out, the carrots did not come up, and our tomatoes are not happening. I'm a little bummed about that being I wanted to make fresh salsa, but we have plenty of other things growing.
Peppers
Lettuce
Watermelon
Lots of zucchini
Cantaloupe
A whole lot of corn.
And lastly a picture of the best gardener I know next to my Grandma and my Mom.

Guest book
I wanted to highlight a product I have available for brides and grooms to be. This is a 9x7 guest book album with images from an engagement session. There are plenty of pages that guests can sign or even write a small message on. The book has a hard cover and lays flat when it's open.
I will be photographing this couple's wedding in just a few days, and I'm super excited. It's going to be a fabulous wedding.

Kids portrait special
I have a kids portrait special coming up this week, May 14th, 15th and 16th. Don't miss it! This is a great opportunity to have your child's portrait updated and give back to the community at the same time. Sessions are only 15 minutes long and there is no session fee. There are 3 packages to choose from and 50% of the package fees are donated to Operation Little Ones. Operation Little Ones is a ministry of River City Church that provides a month's supply of diapers for babies and toddlers to parents in need. Call today to schedule your child's appointment. 270-925-9311

Today Brennen and I went out to a new location that I absolutely love. Brennen is graduating this year and wanted some updated images for her grad announcements. I photographed Brennen last summer, her hairstyle has changed so much she wanted some new images to go with the new hairstyle. We had to deal with some fierce wind and full sunlight but I think we got some great shots. Here's a few of my favorites from today.
